Baie de Figari, Corsica – 41°28.08'N, 09°04.00'E[/b]
Baie de Figari: August 2009. Excellent anchorage. The entrance was simpler than the pilot seemd to suggest. There are small red and green buoys with flashing lights marking the entrance channel. Very sheltered with fresh E – NE winds. Blowing 18 kts outside, but less than 8 once inside. Anchoring anywhere down the main channel did not seem to be a problem.

Bonifacio, Corsica – 41°23.14'N, 09°08.51'E[/b]
Bonifacio: August 2009. Chaos! Lots of yachts looking for berths, even at 1100 hrs. Aggressive day tripper boats pushing through. Port authorities seemed totally overwhelmed both on the water (one dinghy) and on the radio. We were finally told no place available, and basically “go away”.
