We are new members of OCC and pretty new to cruising ( this is our second season in the Caribbean after a Jan 2015 crossing) we are currently in the Dominican Republic, intending to cruise in Cuba shortly.

My plan is spend hurricane season there, hauling out the boat for 3 months August, September, October while we return to UK for work and family commitments.

I had thought to cruise the South Coast of Cuba, but on reading that the Trade winds turn predominately to South East as the season progresses I am thinking that the North Coast may be a preferable alternative as well as providing options for haul out at Varedero or Havana.

I would be interested in any views or advice members may have to give
Many thanks
