From Belem we plan to go round Marajo island through Estreito de Breves and adjacent waterways, then on to French Guyana and beyond. Should anyone plan to go the same way, give us a shout. Already spent 8 months in northern Brazil a few years ago, most at anchor, the least one can say is alarming reports from other sites should be taken with a pinch of salt.
