Aleria 's repair work is complete but she is still in Kilrush on the Shannon. We plan to bring her up to Clew Bay in April and sail the coast of Ireland and possibly Scotland this summer. We will be joining the Mayo Sailing Club cruises and plan to be in Galway for the VOR finale in July. Please let us know if you are planning to come out our way.

Hi Daria and all,
For anyone who gets within striking distance of the Lagos boatyard: Alfredo Lagos was the leader of many excursions around the Rias for the OCC. His rallies were among the most enthusiastically received rallies I have ever heard about. A visit to the boatyard is not only a visit to a present-day working yard, but also a visit to a working museum. For example: on the upstairs office wall are numerous wooden propeller blades: beautiful in their own right. When you realize that each blade was hand carved to be the template for the metal blade to be cast from, I expect most will be as gobsmacked as I was.
It is just a very special place.
My best, Dick Stevenson, s/v Alchemy
